On "EWTN News Nightly" tonight: A day after President Joe Biden said the U.S. would intervene militarily if China were to invade Taiwan, President Biden told a reporter “no” when asked if the policy of strategic ambiguity towards Taiwan is dead. China and Russia conducted joint exercises near Japan today. Author Gordon Chang joins to tell us more about and whether he thinks those comments made by President Biden may have sparked this show of force, or whether this was something planned long before. Meanwhile, $40 billion in additional aid is making its way to Ukraine, after President Biden signed a new package over the weekend. However, some senators from both parties want to go further and label Russia as a state sponsor of terrorism. And a 2 day conference in Warsaw, Poland focused on the life and legacy of Pope St. John Paul II. President of the Center for Family and Human Rights and author, Austin Ruse, joins to tell us more about this conference and how it highlighted Pope John Paul II's fight to protect the unborn. Finally this evening, a young pilgrim from Northern Spain is planning to be in the Holy Land for Christmas. Carlota Valenzuela will make the journey by walking. She joins to tell us how this idea came about and what motivated her to undertake this long pilgrimage.
