Happy Friday the 13th! Today we bring you two archetypal ghost stories: the long-martyred (until she's hated) dead white girl and the present-in -their-absence ghost who haunts the narrative. We dig into what a ghost story represents, what separates a ghost from being in the narrative and haunting it for good, and how true crime turns real people's lives into storyboards trying to emulate Twin Peaks.
