Juggernaut #5, Hellions #8, X-Factor #6

New Year, New Host!  This episode the guys run a two man crew with Q on a birthday sabbatical.  This week Dane and Kelsey discuss holiday X-Gifts, the episode count reveal on the upcoming WandaVision and the one day warning Marvel gives on the new Marvel Studios: Legends show.  We wrap up what has been a steadily awesome Juggernaut mini-series plays on tropes but executes to the highest degree and brings some emotion to the table.  Hellions continues a path of juxtaposed excellence.  If you want witty dialogue, clever ideas, brutal murder, and deep morale quandries, Hellions is for you.  X-Factor continues to investigate murders but this week in a way only possible on Krakoa: Syren’s second death in a one week span.

In this episode we talk X-Men comics and what is new in the world of Marvel.  X-Men 16, Excalibur 16, and Wolverine #8.  Reign of X is still going but the year is coming to an end!

New Mutants #14, X-Force #15

This episode the guys spend quite some time discussing the huge dump of information from Disney+ about all of their upcoming Marvel projects.  This week’s New Mutants watches the team ascend to leaders and trainers of the next generation as we learn a little more about what makes them tick.  X-Force deals with problems internal and external alike as they sort out what to do with Beast, Omega Red, and a new threat in the form of a parasitic seed that takes over ocean and human life alike.  Dane and Kelsey have faced many Danger rooms, but this is the one.  Will they emerge victorious?  Stay tuned to find out!

S.W.O.R.D. #1, Juggernaut #4, Marauders #16

The episode the guys discuss all the new rumors about circling the Spider-Man 3 cast, what X-Men cast members we’d like to see make a return, and who wins in a few battles of Alien v. Predator v. X-Men.  S.W.O.R.D. is all about introductions.  Introducing a new setting, all new squads, and a new concept in the exploration of mutant genetic technology.  Juggernaut continues an unstoppable path of success taking on Nazi mad scientist robot Arnim Zola!  Kate and Emma finally extract their Hellfire revenger against Sebastian Shaw in this week’s Marauders.  In the Danger Room, one side will break, but who will it be?  Stay tuned to find out!

Hellions #7, X-Factor #5

The episode the guys discuss Daredevil movie/tv rights revert back to Marvel and the identity of the new Daredevil in the comics world, Hawkeye filming has started, and a new survey about the most influential franchise in entertainment.  The Crucible returns as the guys discuss who the X-Men equivalent of certain Avengers are.  Hellions continues the machinations of their twisted leader, Sinister, as we learn about Arakko death resurrections.  Just as soon as X-Factor wraps up one murder investigation another begins, while the team learns more about life, death, and resurrection.

The team forgoes training in the Danger Room this week to put on their tuxes of unstable molecules and attend/host the 2nd annual Examys!  Will anyone sweep the awards and take home all the golden visors?  Will underdogs rise?  Stay tuned to find out!

X-Men #15, Excalibur #15, X of Swords: Destruction #1

The episode the guys cut out all the fat.  With a holiday schedule and the end of an event to cover, no news, no Danger Room, no side dishes, it is all turkey!  X-Men is a true Summers family affair.  Scott and Jean launch their plan to save their son and the rest of Krakoa.  Excalibur features Saturnyne putting the final touches on her master plan.  With the tournament virtually a tie, Krakoa and Arakko clash for the fate of the world.  X of Swords: Destruction brings things to a close as Apocalypse risks it all to overcome Annihilation and save his wife and the X-Men swing the biggest sword they have to conclude X of Swords.  To wrap things up they ask, who are the winners and losers of X of Swords and discuss the announcement of Reign of X.

Juggernaut #3, X-Force #14, Hellions #6, Cable #6

This episode the guys discuss what they think of the New Mutants movie now that it has been released digitally and the new discovery (and retcon) that Franklin Richards is in fact, NOT a mutant.  Juggernaut continues his redemption arc by taking his lickings in court and in fights while we learn more of his recent backstory.  X-Force shows us a continuing slew of contests for the battle between Krakoa and Arakko including the second round of the dance between Storm and Death.  Hellions introduces a new team of twisted mutants, exposes ulterior motives and ends with a big betrayal.  Are you looking for character development and quality emotional moments as X of Swords draws closer to its close?  Look no further than Cable.  Can Quintin and Dane overcome their strife and become champions of the danger room?  Find out now!

This episode the guys discuss a little of the MCU’s TV slate, educate Dane on the glory that is Conan’s Savage Avengers, and discuss how big of a deal it is that Marvel Unlimited recently shifted to three month delay (as opposed to six).  In X-Men, Apocalypse learns the truth of what happened to his wife after she led an army of mutants into Amenth, or at least the truth as Genesis tells it.  Marauders finds the Swordbearers of Krakoa and the Swordbreakers of Arakko meet on the field of fine dining as a guest of Lady Saturnyne at the Starlight Citadel, before meeting on the field of battle. This episode the guys discuss the new Marvel-Made Chris Claremont Collection (and it’s price tag of two bills!), the return of Brett Booth to the X-Men art team and some controversy surrounding his name, and Oscar Issacs rumored/announced Moon Knight casting of Oscar Issac.  This week comes with only one issue, but it is the titular event title, X of Swords: Stasis.  Saturnyne calls the council of Otherworld but things don’t go to plan with mysterious silent forces, Horsemen representing a realm they’ve conquered and a space pirate sheriff looking to break the rules (and a note taking piggy!).  While we’ve been learning about how our X-Men have been gathering swords, did we forget there is another team doing the same?  Well, not after this week!  As the Krakoan group arrives at the Starlight Citadel they are met with a personalized tarot card, but what does each one mean?  Who is Annihilation?  What's in the cards for the Danger Room tonight?
