Our today’s guest is Marta Saldat - a young researcher from Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń and the founder of WyPSIEkarnia, a unique startup that’s changing the way we thinkabout pet care.

Scientifically, she’s focused on biotechnology, and is a Laureate of numerous student grants. She’s also a veterinary technician and is working for the NCU’s Veterinary Clinic, where she takes care of our pet friends.

Our guest today is prof. Maciej Serowaniec - a Researcher whose work is dedicated to law, with biggest interest in constitutional law, rule of law in the EU and Public finance & governance.

With collaboration-oriented work, plenty of publications and projects funded by various institutions, Prof. Serowaniec has made his scientific record rich.

Being the Dean of the Faculty of Law and Administration, he’s also the academic administrator, taking care of the students, and employees, and the Faculty as a whole.

Our today’s guest is prof. Beata Kaczmarek-Szczepańska - a professor at the Faculty of Chemistry, scientifically focused on, among others, Engineering biomaterials for wound-healing, tissue-regeneration and cosmetic applications and cosmeticstechnology and biomaterials for skin or dermatological applications, which bridges polymer science with cosmetic chemistry. 

A co-founder and Leader of NatChemLab - company is based on strong foundations of science, which launched the oncological cream dedicated to people after melanoma treatment (chemotherapy and radiotherapy) - a result of the projecttitled “The development of a cosmetic intended for the care of the skin of people after the removal of neoplastic lesions”.

One of her most recent successes is finding herself on the list of 2% most-cited scientists for 2024. 

An active scientist, with her academic record becoming richer and richer, with many completed and on-going projects, funded from various sources. 

Our today's guest is Professor Piotr Wcisło. He's long connected with the NCU's Faculty of Physics, Astronomy, and Informatics, now working for the Department of Atomic, Molecular, and Optical Physics. He's a multi-time laureate of many various grants, both domestic and international, with the ERC Starting Grant being one of his greatest achievements grant-wise so far. Welcome. Our guest today is prof. Dominik Antonowicz whose work circles around higher education.

He investigates the trends and challenges in higher education, how it is transforming and shaping and how European institutions are governed.

In line with his academic work comes practice - prof. Antonowicz is the head of University Strategic Analysis Board, whose main function is to advise the rector on the future of the University He’s scientific output is rich, with many completed and on-going projects ahead - funded both externally and internally.

Privately a big sport-fan, which is also reflected in some of his academic work.
