Africa has a very rich History, that goes way beyond slavery and poverty. Civilization, Education, and even one of the wealthiest Kings in all of history can be linked back to Africa, but unfortunately, people do not know this.

I will take you on an interesting journey through the beautiful West African Country called ‘Liberia’
Usually, when you speak of Liberia, all people think of immediately is the war that really destroyed the country or the fact that they have a female president, but Liberia is so much more!

Growing up, we were made to believe that lighter-skinned women were more beautiful than darker-skinned women. Today, that is no longer the case. We have seen a rise in the appreciation of Dark Skin. Women are proud of their black skin and their amazing melanin.
However, we have once again lost the narrative because now, dark skin is the only acceptable form of African skin. According to today's standards, if you aren't dark then you aren't truly African. Wrong!
You cannot put Africans in a box. We are a diverse people.

Many thousands of years ago, the Egyptians created Pyramids, Statues, and other amazing architectural structures that still leave archaeologists in awe.
Have you ever wondered how they were able to do all of this, without any formal or advanced training?
It’s something that I like to call 'The African Instinct'

‘I always wondered why people looked at my fiancé and I funny when we walked down the street until I realized, they weren’t actually looking at us funny, they were looking at ME funny. It happens in my country of origin in Africa, and in the country I now call home in Europe. Is it still that shocking to see a white man and a black woman together?’
That was the exact same question that was going through my mind when my Nigerian friend who had just gotten married to her German boyfriend, was telling me this story.
You would think that with all the technological advancements in the world, nothing would seem new or shocking to people, but that is wrong.
People still have this absolutely wrong and absurd notion not just about Interracial Couples, but about the African/Black person in the relationship.

My grandfather lived to be over 100 years old. I always wondered how he made it so far, until one day it hit me. Even in his 80’s and 90’s he would go all the way to his farm to get fresh ingredients to cook.
My grandparents were all about the ‘organic life’. Isn’t it funny how the world is coming back to this lifestyle? Organic foods, Natural Hair, Natural Remedies.
The world is gradually returning to 'The African Natural Life’.
