  • Bernardo C. - The Realities of Tactical Fitness (EPL Season 4 Podcast EP135 🎙️)
    Bernardo is a warrior who serves others in ways that only a true warrior can. His heart for making the world a safer place by helping good people to be more dangerous is exactly what got my attention in the first place.
    With over 15 years of operational experience, Bernardo is a subject matter expert (SME) in the field of Counter-Terrorism (CT) and security best practices. His expertise covers high-risk police tactics, special operations (SOF), dignitary protection (CP) and close-quarters battle (CQB).
    Bernardo recently retired from active duty in a Special Operations Unit of the Border Patrol, focusing on direct action and low visibility operations. He has served as a Federal Air Marshal, Personal Bodyguard to the Chief of Staff (IDF), Combat Instructor, and Counter Assault team member to the Israeli Secret Service.
    Between direct action missions in the IDF, Border Patrol, aviation security, dignitary protection assignments, and other deployments on behalf of the Israeli Security Establishment, he has hundreds of operational missions in his background.
    For more than 10 years Bernardo has been mentoring at-risk youth as the director and founder of the Team of Warriors, a non-profit organization dedicated to mentoring minorities and at-risk youth, unlocking their leadership potential in preparation for military service.
    In 2021 Bernardo joined the Tactical Fitness Team, an Austin, TX-based company, to lead the military, LE training as director of operations. It was truly an honor to speak with him in this podcast, and I believe there's something for everyone in it to learn!

    I'm honored to interview Daniel Coman in this episode of the Executive Protection Lifestyle podcast. He's been working with me on a few projects inside the industry and I've known him for quite some time now. Daniel entered the industry when he turned 60, and if you think that it's too late to join an industry like ours, you should listen to this entire episode.     AARON has become a good friend as I’ve recently joined forces with him and CAA USA. I’m really excited about working with this company because I know that the MCK they produce is a hidden gem within the tactical community. When it comes to you taking your firearms to the next level, empowering people who maybe less physically potent with a system that can help them protect themselves more easily and a number of other things that piece of equipment is tremendous.
    Aaron works for that company but upon getting to know him better and learning about his background both with swat and gang units as a police officer, It became obvious very quickly that he had a tremendous amount of experience to share with all of us. There’s quite a bit for all of us to take into consideration from his experiences out in the field. Both physically and mentally when it comes to combative engagements Aaron has been through it and has come out even stronger.
    It’s always very encouraging to me when I see guys with legitimate backgrounds join forces with tactical companies because it means they really believe in the product. There’s no way we would stand behind something we wouldn’t trust our lives with and when you have the background you tend to have the conviction to make sure that is the case. He was one of our honored guests at The EP FORUM 2021 and he’s also an EP Master instructor at my school, The League of Executive Protection Specialists.
