EXISTENCE EXISTS

Flowers is a song from the 2016 off broadway musical hadestown, this scene takes place after Euridice sell s her life to Hades in hope of a more peaceful and easier “life” , but in turn leaves behind her beloved Orpheus (played by Reeve Carney) This song was written by Anaïs Mitchell and performed by Eva Noblezada. This is a song about a lesbian girl, she is trying to come to terms with her sexuality but feels pressured to be what is often idealised to be “perfect”. She continues to deny this fact over and over, trying to convince herself she is not gay. This song was originally written by Joriah Kwamé, however it was sung by Taylor Louderman, Taylor most often gets credit for writing this and I would like to acknowledge that though she provides the incredible vocals (please listen to them here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VhZIikh-z7g) If you are listening to this with your child, I would recommend explaining the meaning of the song to them, as it can be quite confusing, especially if they are young. This song has also been heavily associated with the owl house fandom (specifically the lumity ship Luz x Amity) , which I myself am a part of (this is where the cover art came from if anyone is confused)hope you enjoy my rendition of this beautiful song!

I read extracts from some of my favourite books :)

Fun story we made up on the spot about ducks and aliens. It was a big massive chaotic mess but we had fun making it. Also you probably guessed we cancelled that charlottes web thing its not happening
