This episode focuses on the life (and death) of Botham Shem Jean, and the following events that transpired after his demise. On September 6, 2018, an off-duty police officer by the name of Amber Guyger barged into Botham's place of residence and murdered him. A year has passed since the murder of Botham Jean; which was a year that left countless people disheartened and desperate for justice. Unfortunately, after waiting over a year, justice was not served. We discuss our sentiments on the existence of Black people in America, and how we can overcome the systemic injustices that plague our very lives. Our hearts and prayers are with everyone that's negatively impacted by the killing of Botham Jean, especially his family and friends.
