Prayer serves as one of the major avenues to establish what is finished in Christ as an experience in our lives. At this prayer meeting, we focused on two aspects of our redemptive realities: dealing with the spirit of fear and deliverance from every oppression of the devil.

This teaching is definitely worth listening to over and over again. We were introduced to three supernatural forces that power our spiritual growth, viz., our prayer life. These forces are faith, hope, and love. We were taught that faith is expressed by the works of faith, hope is expressed by patience, and love is expressed by the labors of love.

WHY MUST PRAYER BE TAUGHT?

1. God wants all believers to come to a uniform understanding where prayer is concerned. Luke 11:1-4, Ephesians 4:13

2. There is a scriptural model for prayer which must be taught, understood and practiced if we would live victorious Christian life. Your prayer life must not be based on anything asides from what is established within the confines of the scriptures. 2 Timothy 3:16-17

3. Prayer as a major spiritual discipline must be taught to be properly engaged. Hosea 4:6, Romans 10:13-14, Hebrews 5:14

4. We are taught on prayer so we can teach others. 1 John 1:1-3, 2 Timothy 2:2

5. Prayer is taught so that you can become a person of prayer. 2 Corinthians 3:18, Acts 6:4
