I'm excited to finally share this episode with you! I had the opportunity to meet Holden Miller towards the end of last year. I reached out after seeing one of his Tik Toks and the rest is history. Holden is a musician from Long Island, now living in LA with a few friends. His music journey started while studying business at Bucknall University when he felt he was wasting his time and money. He decided to add music to the mix and utilize the schools equipment to kickstart his music career. Now living in LA,  Holden is doing his best to stay consistent in his musical passion so he can pursue it full time. We discuss lots of stuff in this episode and Holden shares some cool stories and advice for musicians and for life in general. My word am I excited to introduce you to Carlos Bradley (https://www.instagram.com/ohkaycarlos/). A Photographer and film maker from Atlanta Georgia, Carlos has much to share about his process of turning a hobby into a career. The story started way back when Carlos used to steal the family disposable camera and filled it with selfies and from there, his love of photography and film has grown into the career it is today. Carlos has taken on projects from taking photos for Facebook profiles back when Facebook started, capturing the vibes of nightclubs and editing thousands of photos, to being a part of Geico commercials. Carlos has accomplished a lot and is an amazing resource for insights into both technology and life. I have no doubt there are some incredible things on the horizon for Carlos and I cannot wait to watch the journey unfold. On the first episode of the new year, I had the opportunity to meet Des aka Walkabout (https://open.spotify.com/artist/1L5pkrtjkNysKt7YJYtLKZ?si=hjePOeLtQqiNp07Npx8ekg). A musician from Philadelphia, now living in LA, Des is living the retired life to the chagrin of all his friends. He's been fortunate enough to be able to focus on his love of music practically full time while also helping his brother sell chocolate milk part time. Walkabout's story began when he first felt the rush of being on stage at a dance, being in control of how the crowd felt and moved. From there he explored being a DJ, performing at parties and dances and making his own music at the same time. Eventually he posted a song on SoundCloud that kickstarted the journey to where he is now. We discuss a lot in this episode and towards the end you get a rare impromptu conversation about some hobbies of both of ours outside of the typical podcast discussion. My first Bryce on the podcast! On this week's episode I chat with Bryce Waitkus @healerbryce about his life as it revolves around music. Bryce is an incredibly talented singer and songwriter from Chicago. He went to school for psychology until he realized you don't necessarily have to get a job and only do music on the side. So he made the decision to pursue music full time. He moved out to LA and now spends his days writing, performing, recording, producing, and doing whatever odd jobs he can find to pay the bills. I had such an amazing time meeting Bryce and hearing his stories. His music deserves to be heard by more people. Oh boy we made it to the final episode of the TKON series. This is officially ETT's first full band interview and it went as expected. We dfinitely had a couple hiccups in the beginning but once we got through those, the great stories flowed smoothly. Listening through this episode again, it has become one of my favorite interviews so far. We had a great time hearing stories from Brandon, Dan, and Zach, and listening to them talk about their journey together as a band. If there's one thing you should take from this episode it's that TKON sucks and you shouldn't listen to them. Joking aside though, these three are a prime example of creating something you love for no other reason than because you enjoy it. They aren't looking to make a bunch of money or tour the world, they make music because it's fun and they love spending time together.
