In Matthew 4:19, Jesus gives one of the most life-changing invitations in history: “Come, follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.” With just a few words, He invited ordinary fishermen into an extraordinary calling—and their “yes” changed the world.

This reminds us that invitations carry power. One invitation can open the door to hope, faith, and transformation. When we invite someone into our lives, to church, or to follow Jesus, we’re creating space for God to work.

The truth is, people are longing for connection. They’re waiting for someone to see them, reach out, and welcome them in. Just like the disciples, many will say “yes” when they’re invited.

So who in your life needs that simple, powerful invitation this week?

Instead of letting worry take over, we’re invited to bring everything to God in prayer—with thanksgiving—trusting that His peace will guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

This kind of peace isn’t tied to circumstances. It comes from knowing and resting in the presence of God. As we stand together, pray faithfully, and keep our eyes on Him, we find the strength to face whatever comes.

Our joy is easily threatened when we place our confidence in status, accomplishments, or spiritual performance. Paul reminds us that lasting joy can only be found in Christ, not in what we’ve done but in knowing Him deeply.

This week, we're reminded that joy must be guarded. Not by striving harder, but by letting go of false security and holding tightly to Jesus. When we count everything else as loss and make knowing Christ our greatest gain, our joy becomes secure—unchangeable even in life’s hardest seasons.
