At least it is about plants
This has good intentions, but it could have used better quality information and illustrations. It states that all plants have roots (not so), but shows mosses (no roots) on the same page. The illustration for the transpiration experiment doesn't show much difference between the two conditions tested. The activities look as though they would work, however. There are four experiments - measuring how much water a plant takes up, showing the movement of water up a stem with colored water and white carnations, comparing transpiration of a plant in a warm sunny spot to one in a cool shadier spot, and dropping seeds in front of fan to see how far they travel. The pages are fairly busy, with bright colored backgrounds that compete with the illustrations and text.
