Hey Everybody! It's Kiah. I just wanted to take a minute to explain why there hasn't been a new episode of Explained in English in the past month.
When I started the podcast, I had a lot of extra time because the school where I teach was closed. I'm an English teacher in Italy and the school where I work -- they were closed for the coronavirus.
Now, I'm back working full time. I'm working almost everyday -- Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday -- almost everyday. And so, I just don't have as much time as before. However, fear not! Don't worry! I will still be releasing new episodes from time to time, whenever I get the chance. Just, unfortunately for now, not as frequently.
However, if you're dying for an explanation, if you just can't wait, there are currently 18 unreleased song explanations. That is, new explanations that are not on the podcast, which you can download and listen to right away. Nine of those song explanations are from the 1960s and the other nine are from the 70s. I'm currently working on the 1980s Album. Eventually I'll have an album for every decade -- for all of the decades. But, that's going to take some time.
So, if you're motivated to learn more English with music and if you'd like to get to know some of the best songs and artists from the 60s and 70s, you can go over to explainedinenglish.com and download either one of those albums. You'll get a full explanation of each song as well as a complete transcript of everything I say in the podcast, and an additional, extra, pronunciation practice section.
I've found that this combination of learning materials really helps my students learn the music and also improve their English at the same time. All I ask in return is a donation of whatever you can afford. It was very important for me to make these explanations available and accessible to everyone who wants them.
So, thank you to all the listeners out there who have already donated. I really appreciate your positive comments and feedback. Everytime I get a kind message I'm inspired to keep going with this project. So, than you thank you again!.
Okay, that is it for now! I will see you all in the next explanation. Hopefully sooner rather than later. Bye bye!
-Kiah
