Singaporeans learned about a new brain illness on Wednesday – supranuclear palsy – the disease that eventually led to the demise of Dr Lee Wei Ling, daughter of founding prime minister Lee Kuan Yew and sister of Senior Minister Lee Hsien Loong. Andrea Heng and Hairianto Diman find out more about this condition from a neurologist, Professor Louis Tan, Senior Consultant, Department of Neurology, National Neuroscience Institute, its prevalence in Singapore and the progress in medical research.
