Since the pandemic begin in 2020, many will arise from their beds ever morning and do a smell test and a taste test. However, do we think to do a soul test in the mornings? In this episode of Explore Messiah with Tzedakah Ministries, we will examine the importance of a soul test in this pandemic-infested world.

Fievel loves me ... a lot. I am grateful for his love -- especially since I am still grieving the loss of my mom who died in June 2020. However, the reality of his love for me became real when the large bulldog in the adjacent backyard to us began to bark at us when I was taking Fievel for a walk a few days ago. My little chihuahua jumped in front of me and took up a defensive posture to protect me from the large bulldog!

Now ... there was a fence between us and the bulldog and I actually would have had to protect Fievel if the bulldog had somehow reached us; however, I realized at that moment that Fievel truly loved me and saw it as his responsibility to guard our relationship. This caused me to begin to think ... would that we cared about our relationship with God as much as Fievel cares about me. 

And so once again -- Fievel has given me another spiritual lesson to discuss on this week's podcast of Explore Messiah with Tzedakah Ministries.

Christians and churches are so easily distracted by anything and everything today. We overreact to everything except for the one thing that we should care about on a daily basis ... The Great Commission. Is there anything that can be done? For the world needs to hear one truth from us #TheyNeedJesus!

When one gets a dog, one discovers so many things. They are stubborn. They are adorable. They are the best. However, I have learned one thing about my Fievel, besides being the smartest and cutest dog in the world, he always seems to think the grass on the other side of my fence is better then the grass on our side! It's not but he tries to sneak his neck through the fence to reach and taste the grass on the other side of the fence even though he might get his neck caught or stuck or any number of catastrophic events. Silly dog!

However, are we any better than Fievel? We often try to go outside of God's protective fence to try whatever might be on the other side even when it might be disastrous as well. Silly people! Listen for today's episode for what Fievel might teach us on Explore Messiah with Tzedakah Ministries!

I am still learning invaluable lessons from Fievel. This week Fievel taught me that even when we are brave ... we still need God (all the time).

Dogs are the best. They are called man's (or woman's) best friend for a reason. They offer unconditional love. They cheer you up when you are sad. And while they do occasionally leave special gifts in the house, they always seem sorry for it when you show them that you do not appreciate the gift on the living room carpet.

I have also discovered that my new Chihuahua (BTW, who is not a yipper or yapper) Fievel Akiva Downey is teaching me invaluable spiritual lessons. Therefore, Explore Messiah with Tzedakah Ministries will occasionally bring you some of these lessons when the opportunity arises. Today ... is an especially good one.
