Lt: Dovydas ir Irena stovėjo ant aukštos kalvos, iš kurios atsiveria žavingas Kernavės griuvėsių vaizdas.
En: Dovydas and Irena stood on a high hill, from which there was a charming view of the ruins of Kernavė.

Lt: Vėjas sukas aplink jų plaukus, o saulė šildė jų veidus.
En: The wind swirled around their hair, and the sun warmed their faces.

Lt: Ruduo čia buvo nuostabus: oras kvepėjo nukritusiais lapais, o medžių lapai švietė oranžine ir raudona spalvomis.
En: Autumn here was wonderful: the air smelled of fallen leaves, and the trees' leaves glowed in shades of orange and red.

Lt: „Pažiūrėk, Irena, kokios spalvos!
En: "Look, Irena, what colors!"

Lt: “ – susižavėjusi šūktelėjo Dovydas, bandydamas pakelti Irenos nuotaiką.
En: Dovydas exclaimed in admiration, trying to lift Irena's spirits.

Lt: Jam buvo sunku ignoruoti šeimos problemas, tačiau jis žinojo, kad ši išvyka galėtų jiems abiem padėti.
En: It was hard for him to ignore the family problems, but he knew that this outing could help them both.

Lt: Irena linktelėjo, bet matėsi, kad ji kažkur tolsta mintimis.

En: They headed down a small path where there were no tourists.

Lt: Takas vedė į mažai žinomą griuvėsių dalį.
En: The path led to a little-known part of the ruins.

Lt: Jie juokavo ir kalbėjosi, Dovydas nuolat žvelgė į savo seserį, norėdamas įsitikinti, kad ji laiminga.
En: They joked and talked, and Dovydas constantly looked at his sister, wanting to make sure she was happy.

Lt: Staiga, po senovine siena, jie pastebėjo siaurą angą.
En: Suddenly, beneath an ancient wall, they noticed a narrow opening.
