Another week in prediction markets, and this one did not disappoint!
From our 51 Alpha x Hérisson Market Maker Happy Hour and private dinner to two packed days at PREDICT 2026, I'm sharing the highlights, industry insights, and behind-the-scenes moments.
We talk about growing institutional interest from firms like KPMG and PwC, why in-person networking still beats LinkedIn, and our Women in Prediction Markets happy hour.
Plus, one of my favorite stories: someone attended our 51 Alpha event in Chicago and started a prediction markets company the very next day!
As someone told me this week, prediction markets could be a "once-in-50-years opportunity in financial markets." And I can't say I disagree.
Great people, exciting opportunities, and maybe a little too much wine.

One week, three cities, two red-eye flights, and a very committed exploration of prediction markets.
I started at the FIA Commodities Conference in Houston, headed to G2E and the 51 Alpha happy hour in Las Vegas, then flew back through Houston before landing in Lisbon for SBC’s Global Prediction Markets Forum.
Along the way: conversations about prediction markets and gaming, a packed happy hour, a very ambitious dinner order, a spa shower, and a few lessons in surviving on coffee and airport time.
In this episode:
It was a packed week, and the next one is already bringing more prediction markets events. I’m excited to keep exploring and to bring you along.
What does a week inside the prediction markets world actually look like?
This week’s Monday Alpha took me from Austin to New York, and this week Houston and Vegas, with plenty of unexpected moments in between.
In Austin, I hosted the latest 51 Alpha event and finally met the person behind CSPTrading, one of prediction markets Twitter’s more… opinionated accounts. Turns out he’s surprisingly nice in person.
Back in New York, I met a female prediction markets trader who left her job at a major bank after her trading income grew to roughly 3x her salary. We also had poker night with Novig, an institutional dinner with Kalshi x Kemet, and conversations about companies using event contracts to hedge orders averaging around $10 million.
I also talk about something that still feels pretty surreal: people walking up to me at events and asking, “Are you Aggie?”.
And behind all of it: sponsorship proposals at 3 a.m., Friday night calls, last-minute meetings, and even calls about 51 Alpha events while I'm running my Sunday 5K.
The prediction markets industry is moving incredibly fast. Somehow, my life seems to be moving just as fast with it.
Next up: the FIA Commodities Conference in Houston, followed by G2E in Las Vegas and a 51 Alpha happy hour at the world’s first prediction markets bar.
Let’s see where this week takes us.

Thanks for listening to Exploring Prediction Markets. See you next Monday for another Monday Alpha.
Prediction markets are growing beyond New York.
In this episode of Exploring Prediction Markets, I recap the latest 51 Alpha event in Austin, Texas: Prediction Markets: Building Markets, Improving Decisions.
We brought together three different perspectives on where the industry is heading:
Daniel Davis, CRO of Connamara Technologies, on the infrastructure behind prediction markets from matching and clearing to surveillance, settlement, and risk management.
Shani Raviv, Co-Founder & CEO of SportsPredict, on forecasting, probabilistic thinking, and why learning how to estimate probabilities matters before you ever place a trade.
Brenton Evans of Predictable Media, who moderated the conversation and shared one of my favorite takeaways from the event: “Trade with your head, not your heart.”
I also talk about why we’re bringing 51 Alpha events outside NYC, what I saw from Austin’s growing prediction markets community, and one of my favorite parts of building 51 Alpha: watching people meet at our events and later go on to work together.
Because ultimately, 51 Alpha isn’t just about panels or networking events. It’s about getting the people building, trading, researching, and thinking about prediction markets into the same room—and seeing what comes from those connections.

Monday Alpha: what the Wall Street Journal’s Polymarket investigation says about growth at all costs, why the Tunica-Biloxi Tribe’s Kalshi-powered platform could be a major turning point, and how superapps are bringing prediction markets further into the financial mainstream.
What happens when prediction markets collide with regulation, liquidity, corporate compliance ... and Taylor Swift?
In this episode of Exploring Prediction Markets, I recap some of my favorite takeaways from 51 Alpha’s NYC panel, Prediction Markets: Infrastructure, Regulation & Growth, moderated by Henri Arslanian with Dorothy DeWitt and Anders Wick.
We cover the Supreme Court question, liquidity and regulation, why prediction markets may have a language and PR problem, the growing impact on corporate compliance policies, onshore vs. offshore considerations, and the bigger question: just because we can create a market on something, does that mean we should?!
This week on Monday Alpha: what Luana Lopes Lara reminded me about founder optimism and insane work ethic, why being a little shameless might be a founder superpower, and why Novig’s Sydney Sweeney campaign got prediction markets exactly what they need: mainstream attention.
Plus, what I’m watching this week as 51 Alpha heads into our NYC event on infrastructure, regulation & growth and starts gearing up for Washington, D.C.
