"When you do exploratory-driven research, one way to succeed is to think about very diverse ideas from across the spectrum. And how do you get these ideas? By having people who themselves are diverse. There's a critical need of having a set of people who are all different from each other, in many ways...all of that is critical for them to be able to explore differently from each other...this is what should be at the heart of exploratory-driven research."
