In this episode, we spend some real time in Velaris and finally getting some time to hang out with Rhys! We get some first glances of the Inner Circle and Rhys’ townhouse and finally take a walk around town with Rhys. The chapter ends with their rooftop argument about flying to the House of Wind for dinner and end with two grinning bat boys greeting Feyre! We’ve got lots of thoughts about the relationship between Amren and Nuala & Cerridwen, the etymology of daemati, and the mysteries of Velaris. Is Rhys one of his “ruthless” ancestors? Why can’t Rhy adjust or break the wards on the House of Wind (I thought he was the most powerful high lord…..?!?!)
