Of what practical benefit is Christian Hedonism? How does joy and delight in God serve to strengthen me against the temptations of the world, the flesh, and the devil? In this episode we answer those questions.

Perhaps the most oft-heard objection to Christian Hedonism is that it seems to say that because God loves himself preeminently he cannot love me at all. In this episode, I explain that in loving himself and seeking his own glory God is in fact loving us in the greatest and most life-changing way he possibly can.

How important is joy in the Christian life? Why do advocates of Christian Hedonism, like me, insist that joy in God and all that he is for us in Jesus is so crucial to our relationship with him and our battle against temptation? We answer these questions in this episode.

glorified in us when we are most satisfied in him.

Is there a genuine, Spirit-awakened, biblically rooted expression of mysticism that Christians should long for and pray for? Yes. In this final episode on the subject of mysticism, we listen to the testimony of Sarah Edwards (d. 1758), wife of Puritan pastor and theologian Jonathan Edwards. As I hear her description of what happened, I can only concur with what Jonathan said about it: I want that!
