Ephesians 3:14-21

The Real Divine Design

Theme: God’s design for you is to be spiritually mature.

God’s purpose for you.

To bring glory to God forever. (21)

God’s goals for you.

1. To be strengthened in the core of your being. (16; (see also 1:17; 2 Corinthians 4:16; 1 Peter 4:11; Revelation 19:1, 21:23)
2. To have Christ at home in your heart. (17; see also Galatians 2:20; Colossians 1:27)
3. To comprehend and experience the love of Christ. (17-18; see also Romans 5:5)
4. To be filled up to all the fullness of God. (18-19; see also Isaiah 48:8; 2 Corinthians 3:18; Ephesians 1:23, 4:13; Colossians 3:10)

God’s guarantee for you.

1. God is more than able to accomplish His purpose and goals for you. (20, 16; see also 3:20, 4:11-13; Philippians 1:6)

The Privilege of Ministry, #9 in a series on Ephesians

Theme: Every believer has the privilege of ministry.

Ministry—the basic concepts.

Our pervasive lack of peace.

God’s provision of perfect peace.

Why do we need a miracle?

Ephesians 1:15-23

Who is included?

1. Every child of God—based on truth true faith in Jesus Christ. (15)
2. Every child of God—demonstrated by true love for other believers. (15)

What is included?

1. A rich personal knowledge of God. (17)
2. A rich certain knowledge of God. (18-23)

How is this possible?

1. The means: God’s grace. (17-18)
2. The guarantee: God’s all-powerful strength. (19-23)
3. The personal responsibility: ask God. (16)

Praise God! (Part 3)

Ephesians 1:11-14

Theme: Praise God for your spiritual blessings.

God values you.

1. The believer’s value is seen in the “inheritance.” (11-12, 14)
2. The basis, certainty and goal of the inheritance. (11-13)

God keeps you.

1. The Holy Spirit has sealed you for God. (13-14)
