Exposure Therapy presents onewayness and Simon Bridgestock

In this session, Actor Network and Alex Lough craft a cinematic world, brimming with deconstructed landscapes, hostile weather systems, and the remains of shattered spacecraft, half-swallowed by unfamiliar terrain. Their sound is meticulously shaped, building tension with precision. The performance unfolds like a series of otherworldly transmissions in invented languages—unintelligible, yet strangely coherent—caught in the pull between industrial ruin and untamed nature. It’s unclear whose side the signals are on, but they’re watching, and they’re close.

Actor Network is the project of Berlin-based Johannes Herseni. A classically trained trombonist, he gravitates toward sounds that are loud, deep, and unrestrained. His approach to ambient music begins with industrial techno, stripping away drums and synths until only atmosphere remains, shaped by space and decay, as if meant to echo endlessly through an abandoned Brutalist parking lot.

Alex Lough is an electronic musician, sound designer, performance artist, and educator based in Marlton, NJ. His music is driven by a fascination with sound in relation to place—in particular he embraces the impracticality of performing in environments seemingly hostile to electronic instruments, like moats, lakes, forests, beaches, and silos. Rather than opposing forcers, sound and space become collaborators in his performances.
