Its the season of love! Join us as we discuss the aptly named Valentine's Day movie "Valentine's Day!" Come and see how a pretty generic story can be made all the better by adding a ton of recognizable actors. I mean, look at some of these names:
Somehow all of these stars can intertwine to make a semi-intelligible and enjoyable story. We love it, and you will too!

This week we slice up a serving of the Freeform TV classic Pizza My Heart! We've got a re-telling of Romeo and Juliet, but this time with pizza! Capulet and Montague make way for Prestolani and Montebello. Up until this point, we've discussed movies that have been pretty good. Well, that all changes this week! We talk about how predictable the made-for-TV romantic comedy is. We laugh at how often Romeo and Juliet is set up as some romantic romp when it seems like most people stop reading after the first half or so. Come join us as we sample the finest cheese Verona, New Jersey has to offer!

How does a movie with a budget this big and a story so prominent become so forgettable? We discuss the minefield that is child actors, and how the kids in Peter Pan actually do a good job. We look at why this movie didn't perform better at the box office, and how stiff it's competition was.

Join us as we discuss what makes the cult favorite "The Princess Bride" one of the cheesiest movies around. From cheesy scenes and campy characters, to contrived plot and questionable special effects, this movie has it all; and that's why we love it!
We look at the lovable Fezzik and what makes him a misunderstood oaf. We discuss how Andre the Giant was absolutely made to play Fezzik. Anybody want a peanut?
Remember the horrifying eels by the ship? Or the nasty ROUS's that plagued Westley and Buttercup? Well, the scariest part of these monsters may have been how they look 30 years later. But we'll discuss why we can dismiss these cheesy effects.
Seriously, the story is cheesy, the characters are cheesy, the effects are cheesy, the music is cheesy; but the movie is so accessible and good that it overcomes the cheesiness.

Join us as we discuss what makes the cult favorite The Princess Bride one of the cheesiest movies around. From cheesy scenes and campy characters, to contrived plot and questionable special effects, this movie has it all; and that's why we love it!
We talk about the story's origin; written by William Goldman or S. Morgenstern, whichever you choose to believe. Pretty interesting how the way the book is presented mirrors how the movie flows. Turns out we're all Fred Savage. We discuss how the movie went from generic fantasy movie to huge cult classic.
The Princess Bride is basically just a fairy tale, and that is why it is so accessible to so many people. There are princesses, bad guys, sword fights, pirates, revenge, silly names; everything you need for a great fairy tale.
We look at some famous cheesy romantic scenes ("As you wish!") as well as perhaps the most famous line ("My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die!") Why are these so memorable?
We dissect the bad guys. Was Prince Humperdink really all that scary? Were Humperdink and Buttercup actually perfect for each other? How great of a character was Vizzini (very great). Why is a character as generic and played as Inigo Montoya so memorable?
All this and more during our two-part Princess Bride extravaganza.
