Republican Party chairman Kyle Hupfer talked about plans for the state GOP convention, June 8-9, at the Ford Center. 

It's just the second time the convention has been held outside of Indianapolis.

Terrence roach was accused of kidnapping and killing special needs girl Aleah Beckerle.  The prosecution felt it had a solid case when they went to court; but the jury returned NOT GUILTY verdicts on the murder and kidnapping case, preferring to find Roach guilty only of Abuse of a Corpse, and Criminal Confinement.  That, despite DNA evidence planting him at the scene of the crime and at least two taped conversations in which Roach told what happened.  The day after the verdict, the Evansville Police Department held a hastily-called news conference detailing its methodology in accumulating and assimilating the evidence against Roach.  Since the verdict, too, defense attorney Glenn Gramp has been vocal.  But the Prosecutor's Office has remained silent on the subject until now.  While prosecuting attorney Nick Hermann declined a personal interview, his office nevertheless responded to an interview request by a spokeswoman, Jess Powers.  This podcast contains the entirety of that interview with WIKY News Reporter Jay Zimmer.
