There can be no arguing with the Arsenal manager’s gripe with the offside decision; Silva was clearly offside when he received the ball before squaring to Gabriel Jesus to round off another emphatic City win. But our Premier League correspondent, Richard Jolly, who covered the game for us, says despite the Frenchman’s frustration City were worthy winners, with Kevin de Bruyne and Fernandinho in particular catching the eye with their energy and graft in midfield.

Bottom side Crystal Palace claimed a late draw against West Ham United in the most dramatic game of the weekend, but there was more misery for struggling Everton at Leicester City.
