The biblical perspective on death is different from the world’s point of view. Death is to be embraced, not feared. We have hope in the midst of our sorrow. Death is the pathway to the wonderful resurrection body God has planned for the believer. If we did not die, we would be stuck with our aging body for all eternity. Paul strikes a positive note right up front, saying that death is not to be feared. It’s what has to occur before we can be changed. Without death there is no resurrection.
