In this special episode, Notts County Foundation marks South Asian Heritage Month (18th July – 17th August), celebrating the theme for 2025: "Roots to Routes" — a powerful exploration of identity, journeys, and shared heritage within British South Asian communities.

Host Josh Wing is joined by Vicky Spargo, the Foundation’s Deputy Sport and Inclusion Manager, to discuss the success of the South Asian women and girls football sessions held at Meadow Lane. They're also joined by two inspiring participants from the programme, who share personal stories of culture, community, and the experiences that have shaped them and their families.

Have you ever wondered what it's like to be a Trustee? It's a role we've all heard bounced around the workplace and in charities, but what does it all involve? This episode focusses on Notts County Foundation's board of trustees - giving listeners a behind-the-scenes look at what goes on around the table. What impact do Trustees have on our work? These are just some of the questions Josh asks two people who have experienced what it's like to be on the board of Trustees at Meadow Lane.  

In this special episode, we reflect on the life and legacy of our colleague, Chloe Gibson, who passed away after her battle with Pancreatic cancer. Joined by her parents Graham and Chris is and our Health Manager Josh Stevenson, who was not only a close friend and colleague but also provided vital 1-1 support through our CARE programme.

We share heartfelt memories and stories of Chloe's impact both in the workplace and within the community. The CARE programme, dedicated to supporting those affected by cancer, played a role in Chloe's journey, and in this episode, we explore the incredible strength, kindness, and light she brought to everyone she encountered. Chloe was a beacon of positivity, often the light in others' lives, and we celebrate her legacy, the difference she made, and the lasting influence she continues to have on us all.

Making sport and physical exercise accessible for all is one of Notts County's big ambitions. No one should feel left out when participating, with a welcoming environment for all. So what exactly is the Foundation doing to achieve that in Notts? How inclusive is Notts County?
