Thank you for joining us in this conversation with Natalie and Devon from The Collaborative in Londonderry Vermont. This group started leading before and after school care for families in our area over 20 years ago, and since then their programing and reach have extended all over and has evolved into a organization that's purpose centers around building and strengthening community connections. Check out what they do at their website or on their social media, and find out how you and your family can plug into what this amazing group of people are creating for our kids, our community, and our future!

Today on the show we speak with Jon Mowry. Jon has been a part of the Northshire area biking community for decades and talks to us about the evolution of the mountain bike trail systems here in the area, and shared how volunteers have given us the amazing trails that continue to increase in mileage every year. We hope you enjoy this conversation, and learn some new things, including how you can be part of the growth of mountain biking in this area by volunteering to get out there and dig some trails. The area is shaping up to be a hub for bikers of all kinds in the north east, and we are stoked to have it in our backyard!

In the Episode we spoke With Jennifer Stromsten and Sarah Lang of the Brattleboro Development Credit Corporation and learned how the name of their organization is rather misleading though they are laser-focused on Business Development in Southeast Vermont! As we like to discuss on our show, these actors behind the scenes play such a huge roll in the success of our urban and rural communities, so we are excited to introduce you to a couple of them and spread the word about all the great things they are doing, and how YOU can pitch in to help!

In this episode we introduce you to our project, Eye on the Shires, a podcast about the people behind the scenes in our community. This season we are focusing on the nonprofit voices in our community. These organizations are behind the scenes providing connecting us to art, culture, education, and adventure, as well as protecting our history, natural resources and lending supporting those in our community who need it. We bring our show to you to amplify their voices and hope to introduce you to places you can go to lend what energy you have into supporting what you love about our community. Join us on social media on Facebook and Instagram, and subscribe to the podcast for new episodes on a regular basis. We love Southern Vermont and are exited to explore it with you!
