Neil Gillers aim in life is to “Inspire before he Expires”, as anyone who has met him in person or watched his Facebook Lives can attest to. Neil began his BNI journey seventeen years ago and has been a Director Consultant for the last ten years.

Neil was born in Lambeth, London and grew up by the sea in Westcliff, in a very caring family who taught him that nothing was impossible.

Neil, is a strong believer that formal education isn’t always synonymous to success. Neil and school just didn’t really mix, and so at the age of 15 he got a job in Hatton Garden, learning to make and sell Jewellery. Here, Neil honed his craft, in the hustle and bustle of working hard for an honest living.

Two and a half years later, Neil moved into his Mum’s mailing house business, alongside his brother and Dad, helping small blue-chip clients gain a great service for their advertising. Upon their parent’s retirement, Neil and his brother took over the family business, which had now grown to over 50 staff and continued the business until March 2018 when they took the decision to close the business due to his brother’s mental health struggle. A sad but liberating end/new start for them both….

Neil then turned his attention to helping businesses grow and get a great response, by offering a listening ear and thirty plus years of running a mailing house, hence “Stuff The Rest” was born. A company which helps good business people become better business people across the board.

Neil is Director Consultant in Herts and interim Managing Area Director in Nottingham and Lincs and loves supporting and training BNI members. Neil also speaks on Business Development and Mental Health in Business around the UK

He lives in London with his lovely wife Lisa, who he met age seventeen. They have two daughters, Lauren (22) who graduated with a 1st in mechanical engineering, and Jess (19) who graduated as a qualified chef from Kingsway college = SO PROUD. His hobbies include watching his beloved Tottenham Hotspur play football, walking his dog “Sidders” and playing the triangle (just ask him for a demonstration).

Tej Has hidden Talents ! She is not just an Optometrist. Find out how she has diversified her income streams..

Tejinder Kahlon (nee Panesar ) Tej Kahlon currently works with a private consultant at Moorfields Eye Hospital and in the primary eyecare and specific learning difficulties clinic at the Institute of Optometry.  She has also previously worked in the Diabetic clinic at Central Middlesex hospital in 2004.  

In 2006 she completed some volunteer work with Vision Aid Overseas to teach ophthalmic nurses how to refract in both Ethiopia and Zambia. In 2007 she worked as sole optometrist in the Falkland Islands.  

She completed her MSC in clinical Optometry in 2009 with a distinction.  She assisted in teaching UK Optometrists in 2002 as well as winning various awards in her final year of Optometry BSc at City University (Abnormal Ocular Conditions, best clinical paper and for Clinical work).  

Tej has always loved creating art but it is only lately that she has had the time to indulge in her passion for creating portraits.  She mainly works in graphite, charcoal and pastels to capture a likeness, not only of their physical features but also their character to create a special portrait from a photograph.

While her clinics were closed during the lockdown, she used her talents to offer two free pastel portraits for nominated workers in the NHS as part of Sky Portrait Artist Tom Crofts #portraitsforNHSheros initiative.

In addition Tej started work as a clinical contact caseworker with NHS Professionals to help with the current Covid 19 crisis.  She is a wife and mum to two young children aged 5 and 7, loves keeping fit and cooking.
