Dr. Geoffrey Tabin is an extraordinary man. He has studied and practiced ophthalmology all over the world and in doing so stumbled across another extraordinary man Dr. Sanduk Ruit. Man, we love doing this. In this episode, we talk with Dr. Rishi Singh, one of the winners of the 2019 ASCRS Winning Pitch award. A few years back Dr. Singh began to notice possible disparages in his patients who required some complex treatments and wondered why that was, so he started his own studies based on his patient base and noticed there we socio-economic issues that affected care and dived a bit deeper and what he found was startling. In this episode (recorded back in November) he dives deep into his initial findings and what he hopes to get out of his ongoing study looking at the IRIs registry database. This is some truly remarkable stuff.
