Q1 of 2025 is OVER and it has not been a good for movies so far. Dan rants for like 30 minutes about Ashton Hall's morning routine, Kanye's new "album", and the state of the attention economy. BUT there has also been some good TV shows like Netflix's "Adolescence" or Apple TV's "The Studio". Was there anything good in theaters this past weekend? Not really! but I still managed to see A24's horror comedy with Jenna Ortega and Paul Rudd "Death of a Unicorn" and David Ayer's new hunk a shi- I mean action movie with JASON Statham!!

For god sakes is there anything going on in 2025 that doesn't involve Trump or Elon!?!?!? It's almost the end of Q1 and so far aside from a few gems, movies and TV have seemed to be a little middddd???? Anything good come out of SXSW in Austin other than your favorite podcasts doing live shows? I talk about maybe the worst movie of the year out on Netflix from the Avenger guys? A24 is really running thin with its cult thiller-horror hybrids. But I also watched some pretty good movies like Black Bag and Novocaine!

Bong Joon-ho returns for his highly anticipated follow-up to Parasite with Mickey 17! There's an INSANE new Dave Batista movie out that no one has heard of and it feels like an AI Zach Snyder flick. I also caught another movie no one has ever heard of with a bad poster that I couldn't beleive how much I loved! SXSW is also going on right now and I can't seem to understand why a lot of the big projects premiering there are coming out to the public in like a week or two??

R.I.P. to a true artist David Lynch! The TikTok ban is the dumbest political theater ever and everyone probably already forgot about it by the time this episode is out. Squid Game Season 2 is awful and Netflix is clearly making it into the very thing it's critiquing. Landman is a batshit awful show defending big oil and I'm absolutely in love with it! I also caught up with the new Nicole Kidman movie Babygirl and saw my first new movie of 2025 Wolf Man!
