E.Z. Orchards Farm Market - Willamette Valley Spotlight

Listen Later

Welcome to Culinary Convo’s Willamette Valley Spotlight! Where we talk about the best in the Pacific Northwest, and where we highlight the greats that make up the valleys of Oregon State. I am your Host Devin Ream, and this week we are talking with a Willamette Valley cornerstone. Starting over 90 years ago Ed Zielinski bought some farmland in Sheridan, OR and started to grow in the valley, in business, and in family and today we know all that work shows up on E.Z. Orchards Farm Market off of Hazelgreen Rd. in Salem, OR. Known in the area for some of the best cider around, the most colorful and in abundance produce and one of the only places you can stop on by and get a half dozen or dozen of your favorite cake donuts or by late spring and summer you can see many folks out around the park tables and trees enjoying strawberry shortcake or any other wide variety of cold treats near the Shortcake Stand. They host E.Z. Orchards Harvest Fest every year with live music and teaching all the local youth about Ag Culture and agriculture and how to be a great farmer of the many crops that grow throughout the valley by offering educational tours in the month of October, donating weekly to the local food bank, and are involved in a number of ag related organizations such as the Oregon Farm Loop and Oregon Farm Bureau. They also collect and sell a lot of Willamette Valley’s great products and you can follow their in season eats and their other product treats by giving them a like or follow on Facebook or Instagram, and as always  - to check out what is at the shortcake stand or what flavors of donuts are going on right now (which are Strawberry, Lemon and some days chocolate) go on to ezorchards.com and check out all of their offerings. I am speaking today with Claire Zielinski to talk shop.
