Hello, hello, hello beautiful people,
Jacob here ~ Today we have a very special interview. Cassie and I were lucky enough to work with Quoc Hoang, Director of Experiential Learning at Culverhouse College of Business within the University of Alabama. His LinkedIn profile is: (https://www.linkedin.com/in/quochhoang/)
Quoc shares his unique path to his role as well as his experience mentoring people across disciplines to develop them as a leader. His approach to teaching comes from the “perspective of being an outsider”. In this episode, we talked about letting people run into walls and learning from mistakes; how to navigate your department when you lack higher-up support; how to keep your ‘inner fire’ alive; the “look-me-in-the-eye" test; and importantly, when is it time to quit?
-------------------------------------------
Lastly, we proudly share Quoc’s work:

A “Spot” for First-gen Students

As an aside, how do you pronounce pedagogy: peda-GO-Gee or peda- gah- gee. I’m curious, let us know through social media.
