In this episode, I continue my personal reflection on why 2026 could define Ferrari, beginning with my thoughts on the recent shakedown and why I feel much of the media attention and early analysis has been exaggerated. From my perspective, we won’t truly know where each team stands until Melbourne.

But more importantly, this season feels crucial for both Charles Leclerc and Frédéric Vasseur. If Ferrari falls short again, I fear it could put Leclerc’s future with the team at risk — something that would be devastating — while also creating real uncertainty about Ferrari’s leadership and direction moving forward.

From my perspective as a fan, I truly hope this is the season where Ferrari delivers and rewards the faith that has been placed in them. But there is still that underlying uncertainty about what happens if it becomes another year of missed expectations.

We kick off the first episode of the year by diving into the challenges, expectations, and immense pressure Ferrari faces as the 2026 Formula One season approaches. With only months to go before the first race, Ferrari finds itself at a critical crossroads—one that could define the future direction of the team, the Scuderia brand, and Ferrari’s legacy in Formula One.

This season represents an existential moment for Ferrari. From my personal perspective as a fan and observer of the sport, there are five major ideas that, taken together, showcase why I feel and believe 2026 could be so defining for the team. In this episode, I focus on two of those core ideas, setting the foundation for why the stakes are so high, while the remaining three will be explored in a follow-up episode.

The bar has never been higher, and the pressure is immense. Still, I approach this season purely as a Ferrari fan, sharing my own thoughts and feelings and holding onto that familiar (and slightly delusional) hope that this could finally be the year Charles Leclerc and the team get everything right and deliver a championship.

Expectations are sky-high and scrutiny is relentless. From my point of view, can Ferrari finally rise to the occasion in 2026, or will this season mark the start of a more turbulent future for the Scuderia and raise deeper questions about where they go from here?

We’ve finally reached the end of the 2025 Formula One season — and what a finale it was. With a changing of the guard in the sport, Lando Norris has officially been crowned the 2025 World Drivers’ Champion.

Even though the season has just wrapped up, the F1 news cycle is already on fire. There’s no shortage of storylines to unpack, but for this final race review of the year, I’m keeping it focused on my own take: Lando’s long-awaited title victory, Max Verstappen’s once-again monumental performance, and the standout season-ending drives from both Oscar Piastri and Charles Leclerc.
