You might say it’s your money.  You earned it, it belongs to you, and you get to decide what to do with it. Maybe, just maybe, we need to step back from starting this money conversation with ourselves in the center of the financial universe, and see where things really begin. It might just change everything!

Relationships are at the center of our lives; the joy and the hurt.  When you look at your relationships, what do you most deeply want this Christmas

There are some big things that would never fit under a tree but feel like the kind of things Christmas is meant to give. That, “Peace on earth and goodwill to all” stuff, right? We might love the idea of flipping a switch on white supremacy, patriarchy, transphobia, etc. but what if it’s a process and we’re invited into it?

What do you REALLY want for Christmas? Something you could feel, see, touch, have, or use that could be a difference-maker? Tangible needs and longings can be hard to even admit to yourself, let alone making requests of others, but it’s actually part of weaving life deeply.

Sometimes we need to focus. We need to simplify, but do we need things to be simplistic? Part of being in community requires us to see the complexity, and hopefully, find a sweet simplicity not in ignoring it, but honoring and engaging that complexity.
