In this Blind Vet Tech Quick Guides and Tutorials podcast, we we review the latest feature Facebook added to its iOS app, Facebook’s photo recognition AI. This effort is part of Facebook’ commitment to accessibility, and instead of ruling out a method for inputing alt text as part of the photo upload process, a new AI will scan images and all Voice Over users to hear a brief description of the photo. This podcast demonstrates this feature in action. Outside of having your Facebook app updated and Voice Over on, there is nothing else one needs to do outside of swiping to find a photo in their News feed.
