Sl: Mateja počasi hodi po Prešernovem trgu.
En: Mateja slowly walks across Prešernov trg.

Sl: Okoli nje sijejo božične lučke.
En: Around her, Christmas lights are shining.

Sl: Ljubljanski grad se belkas nad mestom.
En: The Ljubljanski grad glows white above the city.

Sl: Mestni vrvež jo nekoliko pomirja.
En: The hustle and bustle of the city calms her a little.

Sl: Danes se mora dobiti z Luko in Natašo pri Tromostovju.
En: Today, she has to meet with Luka and Nataša at Tromostovje.

Sl: Želi jima nekaj povedati, a srce ji hitro bije od strahu.
En: She wants to tell them something, but her heart beats quickly with fear.

Sl: Mateja globoko vdihne.
En: Mateja takes a deep breath.

Sl: Mrzel zimski zrak jo zbudi iz misli.
En: The cold winter air wakes her from her thoughts.

Sl: "Kako naj jima povem?" se znova vpraša.
En: "How should I tell them?" she asks herself again.

Sl: Boji se, da bo postala breme za svoja prijatelja.
En: She's afraid of becoming a burden to her friends.

Sl: Vendar ve, da mora biti poštena.
En: Yet she knows she has to be honest.

Sl: Tromostovje je pravljično.
En: Tromostovje is enchanting.

Sl: Ljudje hodijo gor in dol, očarani nad lepoto mesta.
En: People walk up and down, captivated by the beauty of the city.

Sl: Luka in Nataša že čakajo.
En: Luka and Nataša are already waiting.

Sl: Luka nasmejano maha z roko.
En: Luka waves with a smile.

Sl: "Mateja, tukaj smo!"
En: "Mateja, we're here!"

Sl: Mateja se prisili v nasmeh.
En: Mateja forces a smile.

Sl: "Hej, kako sta?"
En: "Hey, how are you both?"

Sl: Malo poklepetajo o vsem in povsod.
En: They chat a bit about everything and anything.

Sl: Luka pripoveduje o zabavnem dogodku v službi, Nataša pa posluša z nasmehom.
En: Luka talks about a funny event at work, while Nataša listens with a smile.

Sl: Mateja poskuša biti sproščena, a njene misli so drugje.
En: Mateja tries to relax, but her thoughts are elsewhere.

Sl: "Ali je zdaj pravi čas?" se vpraša.
En: "Is now the right time?" she wonders.

Sl: Ko stojijo na sredini mostu, se svetloba igra na valovih Ljubljanice.
En: As they stand in the middle of the bridge, the light dances on the waves of the Ljubljanica.

Sl: Mateja ve, da je to njen trenutek.
En: Mateja knows this is her moment.

Sl: Pogleda Luko in Natašo.
En: She looks at Luka and Nataša.

Sl: "Moram vama nekaj povedati," začne počasi.
En: "I have to tell you something," she begins slowly.

Sl: Govori previdno, izbira besede.
En: She speaks carefully, choosing her words.

Sl: "Imam težavo s srcem..."
En: "I have a heart problem..."

Sl: Natašin obraz pokaže presenečenje in skrb, Luka pa takoj postane resen.
En: Nataša's face shows surprise and concern, while Luka immediately becomes serious.

Sl: "Ampak Mateja, kaj to pomeni?" vpraša Luka.
En: "But Mateja, what does that mean?" Luka asks.

Sl: Matejine besede so polne čustev, toda nadaljuje.
En: Mateja's words are full of emotion, but she continues.

Sl: "Ne še vemo vsega, ampak je lahko resno. Bojim se, da vaju bom obremenila."
En: "We don't know everything yet, but it could be serious. I'm afraid I'll burden you."

Sl: Natasa jo mehko prime za ramo.
En: Natasa softly holds her shoulder.

Sl: "Oh, Mateja, nisi sama. Tukaj sva s tabo."
En: "Oh, Mateja, you're not alone. We're here with you."

Sl: Luka doda: "Ne skrbi, skozi vse bomo šli skupaj."
En: Luka adds: "Don't worry, we'll go through it all together."

Sl: Objamejo Matejo, ki čuti veliko olajšanje.
En: They hug Mateja, who feels a great relief.

Sl: Njeni prijatelji so močnejši, kot je mislila.
En: Her friends are stronger than she thought.

Sl: V sebi začuti toplino in povezanost.
En: Inside, she feels warmth and connection.

Sl: Vse je nekoliko lažje, ker ve, da ni sama.
En: Everything is a bit easier because she knows she's not alone.

Sl: Ko stojijo tam, obdani z lučkami in ljudmi, Mateja začuti, da je pravočasno našla pogum in prave prijatelje.
En: As they stand there, surrounded by lights and people, Mateja feels that she has found courage and true friends at the right time.

Sl: Odpravijo se naprej, mimo Tromostovja, s pogledom na prihodnost, ki je, čeprav negotova, sedaj manj strašljiva.
En: They move on, past Tromostovje, looking toward a future that, although uncertain, is now less frightening.

En: In her soul, she feels a peace that brings the understanding that there is ultimate hope in friendship.
