Fact Check This Podcast

It's not actually the end. I won't believe that until I actually see it. But if you pay attention to the corporate press they'd have you believe it's already been overturned and the world ended last Friday. So I break that down and prescribe my solution to it all. A lot of crazy stuff happened on Twitter Spaces with "Why Do White People Exist" and "Why Do Black People Exist" along with some others. Naturally people got mad. One of those people, Ivy, challenged me to have a conversation about what went on, so I took her up on it. I think we not only calmed some of the anger from those spaces, but also found that we really see eye-to-eye on more things than we would have expected going in to this conversation. I really got a big white pill from this!

This week I'm running replays of a couple Live Streams I did this past Wednesday night. This first one was my thoughts on Roe v Wade going to the Supreme Court and just my general experiences growing up in a legitimately racist part of the country. 

Omicron is here! It's the end of the world! Resume the lockdowns! Vaccinate your babies! Save us Lord Fauci!!!!

Today I talk about the Mississippi Abortion Ban...though I don't look at the bill itself, but a Business Insider article that talks about the impoverished state that is Mississippi, and give some context for why Mississippi is in such a state and some of the environment that exists.

Today I take a little time to review the Anne Applebaum article "Autocracy Is Winning" from the December edition of The Atlantic magazine, as well as cross that with a review of that article from The Week entitled "The Outdated Thinking Confusing Our Talk About Autocracy." I've kind of felt like I may not always be a great parent...I might be a bit abrasive after all...so I wanted to chat with her a bit about the ideas of Respectful Parenting, different schooling options, and let her give me some tips on how I can not suck so much at this dad stuff.
