When we’ve spent our lives desiring approval, we begin to look for it in all the wrong places...

In this message, Pastor Andy Williamson teaches through Genesis 29 and 30. He takes us through the experience of Leah as time after time she is overlooked by man, and labeled “second best” by those around her. Pastor Andy teaches us that just as Leah sought approval through her actions and the opinions of those around her, we too can fall prey to seeking approval in the wrong places!

God created us for relationship with Him. To find fullness and approval in His eyes and no one else’s! He looked at us and called us “worthy” — even to the point of His death on the cross!

So may we never look for validation in people or circumstances. Let us ALWAYS look to Jesus, whose approval is not something to be won or sought after... It has been freely given, and no lie from the enemy can ever change the truth of His love for us!

He has spoken, and it is so!

When Jesus lay in the tomb, it felt like all hope was lost. His disciples had not only lost their teacher...but they’d lost sight of who they were.

There’s only One who with a Word can breathe life into existence... And in the ultimate season of labor, He created an entire UNIVERSE in just six days... Including you. Including me. And then He rested.

So if He can do all of that... Would He not be capable of taking care of your needs?!

When David was finally being crowned as King of Israel, there were people coming from all over in support of him. Over 300,000 warriors united to celebrate God’s chosen King!

The funny thing about it is, with all of that celebrating and the amazing time they had, it didn’t come easy. There were many challenges in David’s life that could have hindered and altered God’s plan for his life. But David remained focused, even when He was marginalized by his own family.

Andy Williamson brings us through the amazing accounts of what led up to this time when David became king. There was a great heart of Thanksgiving, and it came by the way of honoring and surrendering unto God.

Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good!
For His mercy endures forever.

God is writing your story right now, just as He was writing King David's. You have great purpose and are set aside for His delight. His LOVE is greater than anything you are facing. All He is asking for is your heart!

Jesus was the ultimate teacher. He was not robotic at all. He loved people so much, that He worked to make sure He connected with them in a special way. Most of the times, He would spend time with people, and teach them through what we know as parables or stories. This was one of the ways He could help connect with people to get them to understand His message.

Matthew 5 is jam-packed with incredible truth and love. Jesus is teaching His disciples and encouraging them in a special way.

He tells them in Matthew 5: “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.15 Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. 16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.”

Andy Williamson takes the time to teach and encourage us on the light that Jesus gives, which is magnified through us. No matter where we’re at in our life’s journey, God is right there shining and bringing light to our world. The most amazing thing about what He does is using us to broadcast that light out.
