I want to take a deeper dive with you into what a morning/daily routine looks like for me.
What do I require for a healthy and grounded day, above everything else I could choose to do in my day?
Piggybacking off of the last episode "F*ck a Morning Routine", I want to share what my #1 non-negotiable is in my life as I know it today.
I am talking about my Spiritual Health. This is an absolute #1 thing in my daily routine that I cannot live without. I do my absolute best to set aside specific quiet time where I can learn how to deepen my faith, my knowledge in God and His word and how to actually apply this to my life. Now, in order for me to have real intimate time, I have to be up before my kids and that means getting up around 5am- does this happen all the time? No way. Especially because my youngest is STILL waking up about 2-3 times per night.
However, I am aware and wholeheartedly believe that my time to deepen and practice my spiritual health does not mean I have to spend an hour or longer every day in order for me to feel grounded and at peace. Is it nice? absolutely, but is it necessary? Not all of the time.
Some days, my spiritual practice consists of lying in bed and just giving thanks - literally saying "thank you, thank you, thank you" over and over again, then get up and hit the ground running, and trust me, when your intentions are set on WHY you are choosing this time vs just checking it off your list, the results are incredible.
So, whether or not I spend 5 minutes or an hour and a half practicing my spiritual health, my WHY is what matters, and is the driving force. My WHY is how I get the results I need every single day; it is how I grow; it is how I become strong and it is the force behind everything in the next 16-18 hours.
If there is anything to encourage out of all the non-negotiable pillars, Let's start with this.
