Peter and the other disciples had been told again and again and again that Jesus must die. And they missed it. Here, in Mark 14 27-31, Jesus promises that He will rise and go ahead of them into Galilee, and Peter, again misses it. He’s too busy justifying himself to see the glorious truth of the Gospel.
