This week, your intrepid co-hosts get ready to burn alive in the fiery furnace of Danny Boyle's box-office failure Sunshine. A great "hard" sci-fi film populated by actors you'll recognize from Marvel and DC movies, it's a real looker that wonders how we might use a bunch of nukes to restart the sun and the gruesome effects on someone who lives alone in a spaceship for seven years. Up on the block this week is a personal fave (for both of us) and perhaps one of the biggest box office bombs of all time--David Lynch's adaptation of Dune. It's packed with messy storytelling, incredible production design, and some undefinable special quality that makes us both love it unreasonably. Come along as we take a verbal stroll through Frank Herbert's incredibly dense world of monsters, madmen, and superbeings, won't you?

More character drama than smashy-smashy comic book movie, it's a surprisingly deep and complex story about a large green rage monster and the woman who loves him.
