The narrative in Acts 14 chronicles Paul and Barnabas's evangelistic journey, marked by both fervent preaching and escalating opposition. After initially experiencing success in spreading the gospel and witnessing many Gentiles embrace faith, they faced jealousy and persecution from Jewish communities, leading to their expulsion from Antioch in Pisidia and Lystra. Despite facing violent attacks and being left for dead, Paul persevered, returning to strengthen fledgling churches, ordain elders, and reaffirm the message of hope and tribulation before ultimately returning to Antioch, where they reported on the Lord's work and the door of faith opened to the Gentiles.

Psalm 88 is particularly relatable as the Psalmist is in great distress and is very low.
