As the time for the cross was drawing near, Jesus told His disciples He was leaving, but to not lose heart because the Helper was coming, a Helper who is still with us today. Jesus left us – not to abandon us, but to empower us through the Spirit. The Holy Spirit is called to our side, always present, always active.
About this series: The final twenty-four hours of Jesus’ life were filled with profound moments – acts of humility, deep sorrow, and ultimate betrayal. John, an eyewitness and one of Jesus’ closest companions, gives us a front-row seat to this pivotal day. It’s no surprise that nearly a third of his Gospel focuses on these hours. As we step into this story, we’ll see how it can transform the way we live and follow Him.
