  • Don’t Hold Your Breath: Deliverance

WHAT'S HAPPENING @ FAIRLAWN THIS WEEKEND

Al Michaels famously asked during the 1980 U.S./U.S.S.R. Olympic hockey game, “Do you believe in miracles?” Turns out 2/3 of Americans do but just 27% have ever experienced a miracle in their life. Chalk it up to coincidence or luck if you want, but we think there’s something bigger going on when the impossible happens. We're starting a new series called DON'T HOLD YOUR BREATH. We'll be talking about opening up to the miraculous ways that God works in our lives. Community Groups meet at 9:15 am and we gather for worship at 10:30 am. Invite someone to experience God's presence with us this Sunday as we worship!

Community Groups meet at 9:15 am and we gather for worship at 10:30 am. We're saving a seat for you!

  • Grace Makes the Difference: Grace Through Us
Grace is the unmerited, unearned, undeserved favor and love of God. All we have to do is receive it. God gives us grace. But did you know that grace is not yours to keep? Grace is given so it can be given away. And that's hard when we've been hurt, wounded, or damaged by someone else. The amount of grace we are given directly corresponds to how much we are giving away. Come find out how you can give more grace away this week as we talk about forgiveness. Community Groups meet at 9:15 am and we gather for worship at 10:30 am. We're saving a seat for you!

  • Grace Makes the Difference: Grace To Us
George Barna did a study on people who claim to be "Christians" in the US. Only a little over 40% of Americans claimed to be "born again." Of that 40%, Barna found that 25% are relying on means other than grace to get to heaven. Grace is often a misunderstood concept in the church and yet it is probably one of the most important words to understand our relationship with God. Join us as we begin a new sermon series called GRACE MAKES THE DIFFERENCE. Community Groups meet at 9:15 am and we gather for worship at 10:30 am. Invite someone who thinks it's too late for them to experience grace! It's not!

  • Dan Meers/KC Wolf
I saw another poll this week that emphasized the importance of personal invitation when it comes to people attending a church. The poll asked the unchurched what would cause them to attend a church. 71% of the unchurched say they are likely to accept a personal invitation from a family member, friend or neighbor to attend church. With all our communication devices, social media platforms, and advanced advertising, the personal relationship is still the most effective tool for helping people find Jesus. Friend Day is this weekend. Who have you invited to join you in worship? Community Groups meet at 9:15 am and we gather for worship at 10:30 am. We're saving a seat for you -- and for your friend!

  • Your Part Matters: Gracious Generosity
Wouldn't it be awesome if once a week, God sent an armored car to drop off everything we need to meet next week's challenges in life? Bags of money, extra hours each day, and the energy of a 4 year old so we can get things done. But if He did that, we wouldn't need faith would we? We wouldn't learn to trust, would we? And we certainly wouldn't grow to be more like Jesus. We're finishing up our YOUR PART MATTERS series this Sunday at FNC. I hope you'll invite someone to worship with you! Community Groups meet at 9:15 am and we gather for worship at 10:30 am. We're saving a seat just for you!

  • Your Part Matters: Audacious Witness
What would you be willing to do in order to bring love someone into a relationship with Jesus? Jesus told a story about some friends who made an audacious commitment to get someone they cared about to Jesus. We can learn from them what our part is in bringing others into a relationship with Christ. We are continuing our series YOUR PART MATTERS!
