The game of golf is ever evolving, but a lot of the changes we see in golf are trends. These trends also tend to be cyclical. Take apparel as an example. In the 90s, there were bright colors and dynamic patterns on golf shirts and hats. You see these same trends happening in 2025.

The same can be said about equipment in the game of golf. But is all the new gear worth the money, or is it nothing more than a mirage to get you to buy new gear?

It's a new year, but that doesn't mean it should always be new gear.
