Season 15, Episode 95 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Friday morning episode, Alex Kozora and I go all over the place with our discussions and down several crazy rabbit holes.

We start this show with a quick conversation about an NFL Pro Bowl or All-Star game that could come close to rivaling what the NHL just did with their 2025 4 Nations Face-Off Tournament.

The Pittsburgh Steelers reportedly have some level of interest in signing Cleveland Browns RB Nick Chubb this offseason so Alex and I discuss whether that would be a smart move. We discuss the fungibility of the running back position, the valuer of Chubb within that, as well as the 2025 draft class at the position. We discuss the probability of the Steelers drafting a running back this year in the first two rounds.

We now have a range for the NFL's 2025 salary cap number as of Wednesday, so Alex and I go over that news. We also discuss what that range means for the Steelers. Alex and I also discuss cap and cash differences in this show and how both relate to the Steelers this offseason.

How active will the Steelers be this offseason in signing outside free agents? Alex and I work through an exercise of free agent needs by position groups as it relates to possible number of players ultimately signed with APYs greater than $10 million. We discuss whether Steelers' fans might be expecting too much this offseason when it comes to higher quality, and thus more expensive, outside free agent additions.

Does Steelers WR George Pickens need a veteran mentor in the wide receiver room this offseason? Also, should Pickens really be expecting to get a top five wide receiver contract this offseason? Alex and I have discussions about those two questions.

Should the Steelers get in a hurry this offseason when it comes to them signing OLB T.J. Watt to a contract extension? Alex and I have a discussion about that question during this show as well.

Season 15, Episode 94 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Wednesday morning episode, Alex Kozora and I get right to discussing the Pittsburgh Steelers recent hiring of Scott McCurley to be the team’s new coach for the inside linebackers. Alex recaps why it is that he’s a bit underwhelmed by the hiring and much more. We also discuss how it looks like the Steelers' 2025 coaching staff is now set.

The Steelers recently terminated the contract of OLB Preston Smith so Alex and I go over that expected transaction. We briefly discuss the salary cap savings the move produced, what is likely next for Smith, and if he could possibly return to Pittsburgh later in the offseason.

On the heels of Smith being jettisoned, Alex and I go over the Steelers 2025 salary cap situation as of Tuesday night. We also discuss the effective salary cap space the Steelers have based on forthcoming costs as well as a cash spending outlook for the team.

The Steelers will need to decide if DT Larry Ogunjobi will stay on the roster by March 15 as that is when he is due a $3 million roster bonus. With that big decision forthcoming, Alex and I discuss the pros and cons of releasing Ogunjobi and everything that should go into that decision-making process.

The Steelers are likely to give a restricted free agent tender to RB Jaylen Warren in the next three weeks, so Alex and I go over the two main options related to that forthcoming decision. We discuss the pros and cons of giving Warren just a right-of-first-refusal restricted tender and the possibility of the team signing the running back to a contract extension at any point during the offseason. We also discuss key dates related to restricted tendering during the offseason.

There's been a few more quarterback rumors this past week that have included the Steelers with the main one centered around Jacksonville Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence. We briefly discuss how nothing related to Lawrence possibly landing in Pittsburgh via a trade this offseason makes sense.

Feb. 18 – Ep. 44: On this episode of The Depot Dive, Joe Clark and I talk about Mike Tomlin's influence on avoiding the middle of the field on offense based on a discussion from Steelers insider Mark Kaboly on 93.7 the Fan. We weigh in with our thoughts on how much autonomy Arthur Smith has over the offense, and whether it's a quarterback issue with the Steelers not having a top passer in quite some time.

We then discuss the running back room and whether or not we think the Steelers will retain Najee Harris. If they don't will they come to regret it like many of the 2024 FA running backs last year? We discuss the deep running back class and many other related topics.
