Steelers climb to the top of the AFC North with Monday night’s victory appeared first on Steel City Underground.
Joe and Brian are back to preview the Monday Night Football clash between two of the most storied franchises in the National Football League as the Pittsburgh Steelers host the New York Giants.
The 2-5 Giants have struggled on offense this season, making them a prime target for T.J. Watt and company. However, the Giants defense features the league’s leader in sacks, Dexter Lawrence, and is capable of playing spoiler against a still unproven Steelers offense and patchwork line.
Will this game give Pittsburgh momentum as they head into their bye week or will it be another case of Mike Tomlin playing down to lesser opponents?

Steelers seek statement game before bye against the New York Giants appeared first on Steel City Underground.
They say there’s a thin line between genius and insanity. When something works, you look smart; when it doesn’t, you look foolish.
The decision to start Russell Wilson over Justin Fields was a wise move, as the Steelers soared past the New York Jets on Sunday Night Football with a 37-15 victory. Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin quipped he gets “paid the big bucks” to make these decisions, and once again showed the league he’s playing chess instead of checkers with how he operates his team.
Joe and Zac analyze all of the individual efforts on offense, defense, and special teams that have the hosts feeling optimistic about Pittsburgh’s upcoming schedule and the team’s chances to contend beyond the regular season.

Russell Wilson cooks as the Steelers burn the New York Jets 37-15 appeared first on Steel City Underground.
Joe and Brian debate the pros and cons of the Steelers starting Russell Wilson over Justin Fields this Sunday night against the New York Jets.
The conversation takes an in-depth look at Wilson’s and Fields’ careers, how they compare with other quarterbacks, and why the “if it isn’t broke, don’t fix it” cliché may be lost on some fans.
The Jets come to town with their own issues, some of which may be a daunting task up against the Steelers’ defense. The hosts preview the big matchup and how Pittsburgh can leave the victors.

Wilson or Fields the better choice for Steelers vs. Jets? appeared first on Steel City Underground.
Joe and Brian discuss the Steelers’ huge 32-13 victory over the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday.
Pittsburgh’s defense put the clamps down on the Raiders, forcing multiple turnovers and giving their offense short fields to work with. The hosts wonder if this winning formula is sustainable as the schedule increases in difficulty.
Also, Joe and Brian talk about whether Mike Tomlin should stick with Justin Fields as his starting quarterback or if it’s time to make a change to Russell Wilson.
