Two former Israeli intelligence operatives have revealed new details about a covert operation that involved rigging communication devices used by Hezbollah in Lebanon with explosives—a mission that spanned over a decade.
In an exclusive interview with CBS, the operatives, disguised with masks and voice changers, recounted how Israel’s Mossad meticulously planned and executed the operation. Beginning ten years ago, the campaign aimed to infiltrate Hezbollah’s supply chain and discreetly deliver booby-trapped radio devices.
A Decade-Long Strategy:
The operation began with Mossad crafting a plan to embed explosives into the batteries of radios intended for Hezbollah. The agency established several fake companies to conceal the origin of these devices. Pricing was deliberately set at competitive levels to avoid raising suspicions. Over the years, Hezbollah reportedly acquired 16,000 of these rigged devices.

A tragic aviation incident unfolded today as a commercial aircraft carrying over 70 passengers and crew members crashed near Aktau, Kazakhstan. The full extent of casualties is still being determined, with conflicting reports about the number of survivors.
The Embraer E190 aircraft, operated by Azerbaijan Airlines, was initially scheduled to fly from Baku, Azerbaijan, to Grozny, the capital of the Chechen Republic in Russia. However, adverse weather conditions in Grozny forced the flight to alter its course. The plane was attempting to land when it crashed under unclear circumstances.
Azerbaijan Airlines confirmed that 72 individuals were aboard the flight, comprising 67 passengers and 5 crew members. Initial reports from Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Emergency Situations indicate that 25 people have been transported to local hospitals for medical attention.

Santa is expected to depart the North Pole at 4 a.m. UTC on December 24 (4 p.m. Hanoi time), embarking on his globe-trotting journey.The tradition dates back to 1955, when a misprinted advertisement listed the phone number of NORAD’s predecessor, the Continental Air Defense Command (CADC), as Santa’s hotline. Colonel Harry Shoup, then head of CADC, received numerous calls from children asking if he was Santa Claus. While denying he was the man in red, Shoup told the kids that CADC was monitoring Santa's flight using radar.
