After a long Christmas break stretching over 8 gameweeks the fairytale football team are finally back in action. With 5 hosts in the Deerpark Studios and producer Chris Brown managing the twitter feed from Opera Lane it was a hectic night. The lads commentated on 7 live matches, keeping an eye on how every goal affected the world of FPL.
Having recovered, more or less, from their respective colds, Eamonn and Chris were back in the Opera Lane Studios to keep an eye on the FPL action in GW12. It was another slow afternoon on the goals front, but it gave the guys a chance to catch up on all things fantasy football, including a chat about a couple of the other FPL podcasts out there in internet land.

Welcome to the home of the Fairytale Football Podcast! Eamonn and Mark commentate on the GW11 action in the EPL. After a slow start the goals came thick and fast, and the lads also kept an eye on the rugby World Cup Final.
Eamonn, Chris and Myles “the internets best guest” Balfe took to the couch for a pre gameweek 9 podcast. With Aguero out injured there was plenty to say about potential replacements as well as a round up of other fantasy football news, and general football chatter. Follow us on twitter @fairytaleleague, or better yet join the fairytale football league and be part of the magic.
The fairytale lads are back for another edition of fairytale football, with host Eamonn O’Leary joined by regular pundit Mark O’Callaghan who roped in his brother Richard for 90 minutes plus injury time of fantasy premier league chat. Super Saturday lived up to it’s name for once, with a total of 35 goals from 8 matches, with 26 of them happening live on air. Cake corner of the week was a success yet again, as was the Home and Away slot. We also had two fairytale football firsts, with the lads offering up a decade of the rosary for Chris ‘Stato’ Brown as he recovers from the flu, and the first play of the “Big Kahuna Burger” ad produced by Fairytale Advertising Ltd. The sound quality improves after the first 10 minutes, so stay with it. The quality of the content is consistent throughout.

Eamonn and Chris host another episode of Fairytale Football. It’s another super saturday and the Fairytale lads commentate on all the FPL happenings, as well as the usual mix of nonsense. Regular pundit Mark O’Callaghan calls in, and if you listen to the end you will hear the guys mention the first score from the Japan South Africa match that shook the rugby world.

With Chris sailing away to Turkey, it was left to Eamonn to man the Fairytale Football decks, ably assisted by first mate Mark O’Callaghan. FPL may be on an international break, but that didn’t stop the fairytale lads, who mixed FPL banter with live commentary of the Ireland Gibraltar match. We’d love to hear what you think – get in contact on twitter @fairytaleleague.
The first Super Saturday was a chaotic success. Eamonn and Chris were joined on the couch by Mark, Damien and reigning champion Mr Smith. We listened to a few snippets of Eamonn as a guest on the FanFeud Weekly Fantasy Football Show. There were 5 live games and the points flowed quick and fast! We’d love to hear what you think – get in contact on twitter @fairytaleleague.

The great Neil McCluskey was crowned our Fairytale Football Game Week 1 Captain (whoever scores the most points). It was a clear victory but true to his promise he was “humble in victory” when Eamonn caught up with him to find out how it all unfolded. The other lads were devastated, some even “refused to salute”. They recall the pain of facing the fact their “running off into the distance” dreams had slid away. Congratulations Neil!
Fairytale Football is back for it’s second season! Eamonn, Chris and Damien watch the opening game of the 2015 2016 season live, keeping track of all the fantasy football points scored. A couple of regulars call in to let us know how their teams are shaping up, and featuring a Fairytale Football first – a pre recorded interview with Season 1 champion Chris Smith.
